In spite of being a purely Italian brand, Bellavista Collection regularly participates in design projects all over the world. Its top-quality Italian luxury furniture pieces, as well as lighting fixtures, boiserie, mirrors and many other products could be found on every continent except Antarctica. They have long become popular with people and businesses alike, especially in the hospitality sector.
This is not surprising: hotels and restaurants put a high premium on their interior design. Hotel rooms and restaurant halls must look impressive and be comfortable, so that guests feel like coming there again. Furniture for such a place not only must be well-designed, grand-looking, and comfy. It also should last for years, constantly with standing wear and tear. That’s in fact is the very kind of furniture Bellavista Collection designs and manufactures. That is why, the brand often co-operates with famous designers and architects, helping them create stunning interiors.
Yabu Pushelberg, a renowned Canadian architectural firm, based in Toronto and New York was chosen in 2007-2008 for the interior design of Las Alcobas, a fashionable hotel in Polanco – an upper-class neighborhood of Mexico City, and now in occasion of the “refresh” of some hotel rooms, Bellavista Collection has been invited to supply some of the furniture pieces for this project.
Las Alcobas is a chic seven-storey 35-room hotel with a comfy and intimate atmosphere: its name stands for “the alcoves” in Spanish. The sophisticated interior design makes an unforgettable impression upon everyone who visits this truly luxurious hotel. Needless to say, only the best furniture from reputable brands was picked.
Everything inside is luxurious but extremely elegant: panels wrapped in prime-quality leather, decorated with stitching, furniture made of precious rosewood, and, of course, the unique one-piece spiral staircase, decorated with fine wood.
The color palette includes shades of gray, black, white, and beige – the colors that will never go out of vogue.
Now let’s take a quick look at the furniture pieces, which Bellavista Collection, together with its parent company Casa Zeta, supplied for the refresh of this project.
Some of these items were customized specially for this hotel. For example, MINNIE armchair is a years-long bestseller in Bellavista Collection. First showcased in January 2015 at Maison&Objet trade fair in Paris, this lovely armchair quickly became popular. If you look at the shape of the back of this lovely armchair, you’ll instantly guess why it was named MINNIE.
Like almost every upholstered piece from Bellavista, MINNIE is available in both fabric and leather. Its short feet are made of brass with an antique bronze finish. As to the size, this armchair is 70 cm wide and 80 cm deep (27.6 and 31.5 inches respectively) and 75 cm. (29.5 in.) high, with a seat height of 38 cm (15 inches).
For Las Alcobas hotel, MINNIE armchairs were custom-made and supplied with a small footrest pouf to match. Upholstered in bluish-gray fabric, these compact but extremely comfy armchairs are just the thing for luxury hotel rooms.
BOSS armchair in this project is upholstered in leather. Its wooden parts are made of gorgeous moka stained ashwood. BOSS armchair is rather compact and low. Such an armchair is a great fit for a hotel room. What is more, its seat was crafted using the most reliable, time-proven technique: the coil springs were tied together by hand in 8-Way method. It means that the seat, along with being cozy, won’t sag in a very long time.
SAN FRANCISCO dining table is one more piece selected for some of Las Alcobas rooms. This stylish table was designed in 2016. The combination of wood of its structure and the top (nine options in total) and antique bronze finish of the brass feet and details makes SAN FRANCISCO look fashionable indeed. On the brand’s website, this table is available in three sizes.
The all-metal coffee table called BATISTA, impresses from the first glance. Made of cast aluminum or cast brass with several finishes to choose from, this table can be either square, round, or oval.
BONAPARTE coffee table, designed in 2011, has a metal structure with a bronze finish and a lower shelf in smoked glass. Its top is made of solid moka stained ashwood, with an optional top insert in wood or leather.
The last piece is GARCIA luggage rack – an item every fashionable hotel room needs. The smart-looking top of GARCIA is composed of stripes of faux leather, intertwined crossways.
Bellavista gladly contributed with its products to the 2020 restyling of this beautiful Mexican Property, together with Casa Zeta srl, its “parent” company, that manufactured all furniture of the original project in 2006/2008 as well as last year.
