For the 57th edition of Salone del Mobile Milano, Bellavista Collection, the artisanal Italian design house, will be introducing a new collection of timeless interior pieces. As the benchmark for the luxury interiors market, Salone del Mobile Milano is the premier showcase of contemporary design, with almost 400,000 visitors from 165 countries attending. With this in mind, Bellavista Collection will feature 20 new pieces at their stand. With the focus on new designs, combined with the highest level of quality materials, Bellavista continues to develop its unique handcrafted pieces for the cosmopolitan client. As company co-founder and designer, Attilio Zanni, says, “The idea this year is to keep exploring different cultures, habits and styles. Every country has its own idea of home and each piece of furniture can be re-interpreted; I would love to expand the collection with original pieces, where the foreign influences are combined with the common touch of Bellavista’s style.”
Entering the stand, you will be welcomed into the Ludic area, Attilio Zanni’s re-imagination of the traditional gentleman’s room. Las Vegas, a solid walnut table with brass detailing, has been designed and equipped to play checkers, chess and poker, and features alongside the Claire leather upholstered, brass-based club chair; with the Olympia ceiling lamp crafted from perforated metal; and the Zeus bar unit to finish the room in refinement. “My inspiration came from talking with a US client, who commissioned a bespoke gaming table in the Bellavista style,” says Attilio Zanni, “I thought this would a great opportunity and a challenge for me to give my personal interpretation of something slightly out of my comfort zone and not yet available in the Bellavista collection.” Moving into the living room area, 9 of the new novelties will be displayed as part of the wider Dulcechina collection, with inspiration deriving from the orient. The emphasis is on the amalgamation of solid oak, brass, linen and velvet, all adhering to rigorous clean lines. “I’ve been involved in projects based in Mexico and the US for years, and I needed something totally different,” says Attilio Zanni, “So I bought a photography book of Chinese architectures and interiors and I discovered such nice lines, which inspired me to combine Bellavista’s style with oriental design espanolfarm.com.” Other key items include Marriot, a wall-mounted mirror surrounded by concealed LED lighting, the solid walnut and brass Double V table and the Kate chair, which features an innovative brass backrest.
At just 8 years old, Bellavista Collection has seen an enormous rate of growth by unifying timeless luxury with contemporary design flair. As Attilio attests, “We produce timeless pieces of furniture that bring the warmth and the unique atmosphere of the craftsman’s creation to life. Each Bellavista product is a unique piece.”
